Back to School Initiative

Who it helps
Children aged 5–14 from low-income families across Northern Nigeria.
How it works
- Identify out-of-school children through community partners
- Provide uniforms, sandals, books and school fees for a full year
- Follow up termly to ensure attendance and progress

GHFA Scholars Program
Long-term scholarships for outstanding students from underserved homes.
Who it helps
Top-performing secondary and tertiary students with financial need.
How it works
- Annual merit + need-based selection
- Full tuition, mentorship, and leadership training
- Lifetime alumni community

Family Support & Palliative Care
Food, supplies, and care for families navigating crisis or displacement.
Who it helps
Vulnerable families in Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, and Maiduguri.
How it works
- Monthly food and hygiene packages
- Emergency response after displacement or loss
- Linkage to long-term livelihood support

Child Excellence Awards
Celebrating brilliance, character, and resilience in young Nigerians.
Who it helps
Children aged 6–16 nominated by schools and communities.
How it works
- Annual nomination from over 100 partner schools
- Public recognition ceremony with cash prizes
- Mentorship through the GHFA Scholars network

Community Education Support
Refurbished classrooms, teacher training, and learning materials.
Who it helps
Government and community schools serving low-income districts.
How it works
- Renovate classrooms and install learning resources
- Train teachers in modern pedagogy
- Distribute textbooks and reading materials
